Yardley is a borough located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. William Yardley, the original landowner, made a deal with William Penn before leaving England to buy 500 acres of land for 10 pounds. When it was originally settled in October of 1682, the land was known as “Prospect Farm,” and became an important link between New Jersey and Philadelphia when Thomas Yardley began operating a ferry service between Yardley and western New Jersey.
