History
1984
Fourteen-year-old Brett Rieber works as a stock boy at linen shop in Northeast Philadelphia. He assists the window treatment installers during blind and shade installations.
1989
After graduating high school and a few college courses later, Brett officially opens his own business. He begins as a “shop at home” dealer, operating out of his parent’s house.

1993
Blind Builders moves into a small commercial building on Philmont Avenue in Philadelphia. Brett purchases equipment and begins to manufacture verticals and cellular shades.

1999
In need of more space, Brett moves his business into an industrial retail location on Maple Avenue in Langhorne.

2004
Blind Builders joins the elite Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Gallery program. The showroom is expanded and updated. Blind Builders is now able to offer more products and services to better serve customers.

2012
After 13 years on Maple Avenue, Blind Builders moves into a larger and more visible location on Street Road in Feasterville. With a brand new showroom and a large window treatment selection, Brett and his team are proud to continue to provide high quality service, style and value for all customers.
2015
In November of 2015, Blind Builders decided to change its business model. Discontinuing to carry other manufacturers, Blind Builders became an exclusive Hunter Douglas dealer. With a complete update to the showroom and new outdoor signage, Blind Builders is the largest and highest volume single location Hunter Douglas dealer in the area.

2022
Blind Builders continues to grow and thrive, striving to maintain the highest level of commitment and quality service. Working closely with all customers – new, repeat, and referrals, we continue to enjoy assisting people achieve their window treatment needs.
